Terrelle Pryor has yet to make his college choice, but he’s picking Ohio State tonight.
That is, Pryor, the highly recruited quarterback from Jeanette, Pa., is picking the Buckeyes to beat Louisiana State in the Bowl Championship Series title game.
The nation’s top high school recruit of 2008 and the most valuable player of Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Pryor said he wasn’t sure where he would watch the game, but might do so at a friend’s house. He said he picked the Buckeyes to win because “they are on my final list” along with Florida, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State.
“I’m going to just watch it to see a good game,” Pryor wrote in a text message this morning.
Even if Ohio State wins tonight, Pryor said a national title wouldn’t sway him toward the Buckeyes. He said he doesn’t want to be “recruited by wins and losses.”
It’s interesting that Pryor included Oregon this morning as one of the schools he is considering. In an interview last Wednesday for a New York Times article, he did not mention the Ducks as one of his finalists.
Pryor has said that he won’t announce his college choice until signing day on Feb. 6, but which university do you expect him to choose and why?
