The old guys brought it home last night in a nine point win over the Cal Bears. Led by Leunen, Hairston and Taylor the Ducks are now in position to start pushing toward the top of the conference early in the season. A hugely critical game now looms on Saturday as the difference between 3-1 and 2-2 in conference can't be overstated. Also, they have to win their home games this year as winning out on the road isn't going to be easy anywhere. (Well, almost anywhere.) Dorsainvil looks like he's going to be a factor. He went 4-5 and scored 8 while playing solid D for 23 minutes. Odia started in place of the still injured Catron and Brown started in place of Tajuan Porter. Football Recruiting Coming down to the wire now. Oregon's got a huge list of guys coming in this weekend for an official visit. At least seven will be in town. Headlined by CB Aaron Hester, DE Datone Jones, and WR Nelson Rosario are all expected to visit. Each is a four star recruit and they've all given verbal commitments to the Bruins. Oregon's still in it for all of them though. It'll be interesting to see if Slick Rick can get them to sign. Each of them is at a position the Ducks still need one bigtime player at so there's clearly a chance for them to come in and make an impact for the Ducks early in their career. Still no word on whether Terrell Pryor will visit. |
